Pole Dancing has become a journey that I never expected to find from a Facebook ad back in April 2015. I was first drawn in as I enjoy being physically active but often found the Gym too boring for me. Since I had left High School I was also looking for a dance outlet that I had yet to find.

During my journey through Pole I have had some very influential moments, which has included my first competitions NZAPP 2017 and Dance Filthy NZ 2017, meeting amazing pole dancers, and performing routines that I didn't think I would ever be able to do, however one of the first big moments I had at pole was when I attended a Twerkshop (that's a twerking workshop)
During this workshop I realized I had to give up the fear of being judged for attempting something new, and in-turn I ended up coming out of my shell enough to meet some of the other pole dancers there, who since then have become some of the best friends I could have ever asked for. These girls build me up on my bad days and celebrate with me on my good days.

Pole Dancing has become a family for me, a place where everyone is accepted and celebrated no matter the size, ethnicity or gender.
